Marion County Community Services is seeking qualified general contractors for several SHIP, HOME, CDBG, and NSP Rehab projects on an as-needed basis. This contract is intended to standardize and streamline the quoting and repair process for the Community Services Department for their Rehab projects. The intention is to establish a select group of prequalified contractors to perform SHIP, HOME, CDBG, and NSP Rehab work for Marion County Community Services. By establishing this Pre-Qualified Contractor contract the Community Services Department hopes to solicit several GENERAL CONTRACTOR'S to agree to the general specifications detailed in this document and be part of an exclusive group of pre-qualified contractors being requested to quote and perform the Rehab repair projects that Community Services has available on a continuous basis. This is intended to shorten quoting and awarding process to provide service to citizens in a more expedited manner. SCOPE: The proposed contract specifications are comprised of the 6 major services the Community Services Department most frequently provides to its Rehab clients. These are also the six most time sensitive repairs where the ability to shorten the time from client request to repair would be most beneficial. The six repair services are as follows: o Roof Replacement o HVAC Replacement o Domestic Well Replacement o Septic System Replacement o Handicapped Accessibility (Doorways) o Electrical Panel Upgrade LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated Damages shall be assessed at a rate of $150 per day.
