Renovation of a military facility in Portsmouth, Virginia. Working plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
*This RFI is also being posted on SAM.gov, GSA Ebuy, and NASA SEWP. Vendors only need to provide a response to one notice* Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) replacement on the WLB-225 Platform for Shipboard Alarm and Announcing System (A&AS) and Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) Interested vendors can complete the attachment labeled "Response to RFI 70Z04424IC2PLSAAS" and e-mail the completed form (and datasheets, if available) to Amanda.R.Barraclough2@uscg.mil and Elizabeth.M.Pacious@uscg.mil by June 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM Eastern. Background: The Seagoing Buoy Tender (WLB)-225 foot 1MC (1 Main Circuit) for the Alarm & Announcing System (A&AS) and CGECDIS (Coast Guard Electronic Chart Display and Information System) Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Replacement Project constitutes a critical effort within Command, Control, and Navigation Product Line (C2PL). This is a Safe-To-Sail item as the 1MC for A&AS is utilized for shipboard communications during General Emergencies, General Quarters, and all other shipboard operations. All UPS units supporting CGECDIS are Safe-To-Sail items that utilize the primary electronic navigation system and the navigational sensor HUB for the 225' cutter class. Currently, the 1MC/CGECDIS UPS units are obsolete and no longer supported by the OEM with at least three (3) 225' assets with a status of inoperable. Objective: The primary objective is to identify a solution that accommodates the needs of the existing 1MC for A&AS and CGECDIS UPS, apart from the 850VA UPS unit, onboard all (16) WLB-225 cutters. These current 1MC and CGECDIS UPS units have been discontinued by their OEMs and necessitate replacement to extend the equipment's life-cycle. For the 850VA UPS we are looking for a separate solution for a form, fit, function replacement that will utilize the existing mounting configuration on the 225' cutter class. The future objective is to standardize the UPS units for both systems for ease of procurement and field technician maintenance and operations. Additionally, the potential outcome of this Market Research could result in the UPS replacement on the following cutter classes, '87, '110, '140, '225, '295, '399, '420.
