Sandy Lane Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements project contract number EC-2024-35 for the following Bid Packages: BP#01A Survey BP#02B Public Information Officer BP#02A Selective Demolition BP#03A Concrete & Masonry BP#38B Precast Concrete Panels BP#05A Structural and Miscellaneous Steel BP#09D Painting, Waterproofing & Joint Sealers BP#10A Misc. Specialties BP#10B Signage BP#26A Electrical & Systems BP#31A Earthwork, Drainage, Utilities, Paving, Curbs & Walks BP#32A Landscape, Sod, Irrigation BP#32B Fencing & Gate Specifically, the Project includes roadway, pathway, pedestrian bridge, drainage, street lighting, landscaping, and irrigation improvements along the portion of Sandy Lane from Corkscrew Road to Broadway Avenue East. The work involved with the project will include, but may not be limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials (unless otherwise specified), tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the complete in place construction of the Project. The Project includes the following improvements: - Pathway along the eastern side of Sandy Lane - Installation of a pedestrian bridge over the Estero River (bridge structure to be directly purchased by the Village of Estero) - Utility relocation - Boardwalks - Drainage improvements - Roadway modifications - Installation of a pedestrian crossing of Corkscrew Road - Installation of an irrigation systemInstallation of landscaping The scope of the Project is further detailed within the preliminary plans noted below, which are referenced in the following documents which are attached hereto and incorporated herein: - Roadway Construction Plans - Signing and Pavement Marking Plans - Structural Engineering Plans - Street Lighting Plans - Landscaping Plans - Irrigation Plans The Village intends that the Project will be constructed in three phases. Phase 1 will commence first. Phases 2 and 3 will follow once final easements and permit approvals are obtained but may commence during Phase 1 should final easements and permit approvals be obtained during Phase. The three phases are as follows: Phase 1 - North of Estero River to Sandy Lane: This includes construction of the path, drainage, and boardwalk located north of the pedestrian bridge over the Estero River. Phase 2 - Over the Estero River: Includes the pedestrian bridge over the Estero River. NOTE: Pursuant to 9.21 of this Agreement, notwithstanding any other owner-direct purchase the Owner may elect to make, the bridge structure will be purchased directly the Owner and installed by the Construction Manager. Phase 3 - South of the Estero River to Corkscrew Road: This included construction of the path, drainage and boardwalk are located south of the Estero River pedestrian bridge. Only firms meeting prequalification criteria may bid. Interested firms may complete the prequalification form by visiting Chris-Tel Construction's website under the "Subcontractors" tab. Please call our office for additional assistance (239-226-0500). Firms must submit a completed experience questionnaire and financial statement on the form entitled "Chris-Tel Construction's Bidder Qualifications", incorporated herein by reference before prequalification can be determined. The firm's financial condition must demonstrate that adequate fixed and liquid assets and equipment are available to properly perform the Subcontract. The firm must have successfully completed no less than two (2) projects of similar size and complexity within the last five (5) years. Firms must be licensed by the State of Florida for the work they are to perform. Firms must also be acceptable to Village of Estero Florida 33928 and Chris-Tel Construction. All firms awarded subcontracts agree to comply with all provisions of Chapter 8 United States Code Section 1324a by not employing nor continuing employment of an unauthorized alien as defined by law. All firms awarded subcontracts agree to use the E-Verify system for any employees they may hire during the term of this project and shall be required to provide Chris-Tel Construction with an affidavit stating the subcontractor does not employ, contract with, or subcontract with an unauthorized alien, as stated in Section 448.095, Florida Statutes. All firms awarded subcontracts agree to abide by Executive Order No. 11246 of September 24, 1965, and all awardees will, in all solicitations or advancements for employees placed by or behalf of the awardee, state that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
