Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Paintsville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Johnson County Fiscal Court is procuring demolition services in support of a disaster related property acquisition and demolition project Questions: mmckenzie@johnsoncountyky.com and buyout@erassist.com. Bid Bond or Cashiers Check of 10% of Bid Amount (of all properties bid) is required. Hard copy of the bid bond or a cashier's check must be submitted to the Johnson County Fiscal Court at 230 Court St., Suite 201, Paintsville, KY 41240, by the submission due date and time. Proof of liability coverage and workers compensation insurance is required. Successful respondents must be compliant with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws. Johnson County Fiscal Court reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The right is also reserved to waive any minor irregularities in this bid, and to award the bid to the respondent whose offer is most advantageous to, and in the best interests of the County. Johnson County Fiscal Court is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All companies, including women, minority, and veteran owned businesses are encouraged to submit a bid. Performance bond, on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price will be required prior to work starting. Scope of Work: Services to be provided include: Termination of abandoned utilities at least 2 feet below the finish grade of site, including the capping of all wells and/or removal of associated components. Verification that utilities are disconnected and that the homeowner has vacated premises must be done prior to beginning work. Demolition of structures (houses) and any outbuildings. Demolition of associated driveways, sidewalks, fences, mailboxes, and landscaping. Removal of all structure foundation and basement walls to at least 1 foot below the finish grade of the site. Filling of basements with compacted clean fill (basement floors must have a minimum 1-foot diameter hole in floor to allow for drainage). Clean fill from the demo property in question may be used (such as bricks); however fill from other demo properties may not be used. Compaction factors necessary to achieve required level grade must be used. Any provided fill or rock must come from permitted quarries or borrow pit-tickets/invoices must be provided with invoice. Removal of septic tank, if not removed, floors and walls must be cracked or crumbled so tank will not hold water and the tank must be filled with sand or other clean fill (fill source must come from permitted quarry or provider, tickets must be provided with invoice). Permitted disposal (or recycling) of residential fuel tanks. Removal and proper disposal of demolition debris and household hazardous waste to an approved landfill (scale/tipping tickets are required) Debris must be wetted if required by the terms in this RFB. Restoration of property to natural conditions after demolition, to include grading, leveling, seeding and site stabilization
