Meet with potential proposers to go over critical aspects of the procurement process, proposal requirements, contract time, budget, and scope. A walk-through will be conducted after this meeting. The scope of work for this project involves work at both the Elder Middle School and Elder Middle School Annex Buildings as follow: Elder Middle School: the scope of work includes major Interior renovations throughout, new secured front entry vestibule, corridor upgrades, upgrades at commons/media center/cafeteria for student collaboration, and life cycle improvements (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, Technology, Security, and Interior Finishes). Exterior envelope improvements include: New exterior windows and doors, roof repair and/or replacement. A new Building Addition for (8) Science Labs and associated educational and administrative spaces is also included. A new Gymnasium / Storm Shelter addition is included. Elder Middle School Annex Building (National Register of Historic Places): The scope of work includes limited interior infrastructure improvements,such as a new fire alarm system. Campus exterior and site Improvements and removal of portable buildings is also included in the scope of work. Tentative Project Schedule Approximate Construction Duration 730 Days.
