The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to request formal competitive sealed bids through the Invitation to Bid process to establish a contract for the purchase of Water Treatment Chemicals to be used at the City of Emporia's Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities. The City of Emporia is looking to establish a contract for a period that will be for one (1) year beginning July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. It is the responsibility of the offeror to ensure that their bid reaches the appropriate office prior to the date and time of closing. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informality, and to delete items prior to making an award. An award, if made, will be to the lowest responsible and responsible bidder, subject to the provisions under the Virginia Public Procurement Act.
