Removal and replacement of packaged terminal air conditioner ("PTAC") units at F.N. Manross Library, 260 Central Street, Forestville CT. Removal of existing fourteen (14) Singer/McQuay 14kBTU units, including disposal. Provide and install new PTAC units, similarly sized to accommodate existing system without extensive modification to existing hot water piping connections, including new pressure switches. Tie into existing piping, electrical and control connections (existing sleeves/housing to remain) to ensure efficient operation of the units. Start and test units for proper operation. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in any submission, to reject any and/or all submissions, and to accept the proposals) that in its judgment is in its best interest. The awarded contractor shall, at its own expense, take out and possess all necessary permits if required and licenses required by law and necessary for the prosecution of the work under this Contract; including the posting of all bonds and payment of all fees and charges incidental to the due and lawful prosecution of the work covered by the Contract. All permits required by the City of Bristol Building Department and associated fees are not waived, and the cost shall be incorporated into the bidder's bid amount. A bid bond is not required to be submitted with this bid; neither a performance bond nor a labor and materials ("payment") bond is required for this project. This project is not considered to be subject to prevailing wage rates.
