Renovation of an educational facility in Hilo, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Project Site is the Central Chiller Plant on Nowelo Street at the University of Hawaii Hilo Campus, 200 W. Kawili Street, Hilo, Hawaii. TMK: (3) 2-4-001:167 The work required to be performed by the Contractor consists of removal and replacement work of the mechanical, electrical, control, and structural systems at the Central Chiller Plant building at the University of Hawaii Hilo at Hilo, Hawaii. Work includes replacement of the existing Chiller No.1 with an energy efficient water-cooled chiller, complete with associated pipes, valves, and accessories. Work also includes revision and expansion of the existing DDC control for the new chiller equipment, new refrigerant exhaust fan, new refrigerant gas sensors and updated refrigerant gas monitoring system, hazardous material remediation, electrical power to all new chiller equipment and associated accessories, and providing a third-party commissioning agent to test all newly installed equipment. The deadline to submit requests for clarification of the requirements of this IFB is on July 12, 2024. All clarification requests shall be submitted via HePS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS section, and all responses shall be issued in an addendumRequests for substitutions regarding the IFB and its requirements, must be submitted to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer (TRPO), Cory Kaizuka via E-mail at kaizuka@hawaii.edu
