IDALS Project No. CLA943504DTZA (SOUTH SITE) - Work will generally include installing 5,975 LF of drainage tile ranging in size from 18" to 12". Includes one open-cut gravel road crossing. Includes installing 8 underground concrete structures. Includes 6,575 CY of excavation and 7,854 CY of topsoil stripping. Includes raising the gravel road surface and placing 433 TN of roadstone and 416 TN of erosion stone. Includes furnishing 54 LF of 8' x 3' reinforced concrete box culvert plus end sections for installation by others. Includes all associated work and incidentals required to complete the project. AND IDALS Project No. CLA953533DTZD (NORTH SITE) - Work will generally include installing 2,519 LF of drainage tile ranging in size from 12" to 8". Includes one open-cut gravel road crossing. Includes installing 3 underground concrete structures. Includes 1,720 CY of earthfill and 2,830 CY of topsoil stripping. Includes raising the gravel road surface and placing 285 TN of roadstone and 747 TN of erosion stone. Includes furnishing 52 LF of 6' x 3' reinforced concrete box culvert plus one end section for installation by others. Includes furnishing and installing a modified concrete flume section as part of the reinforced concrete box culvert. Includes all associated work and incidentals required to complete the project. Site Directions: Work is located approximately 2 miles southeast of Gillet Grove, Clay County, Iowa Work on the improvement shall commence upon approval of the contract by the Board, and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work under the Contract must be substantially completed (construction portion) no later than November 15th, 2024 with a final completion date (seeding portion) no later than December 15th, 2024. Damages in the amount of $175.00 per day, for the construction portion and substantial completion date, will be assessed for each day the work remains incomplete. Damages in the amount of $125.00 per day, for the seeding portion and final completion date, will be assessed for each day the work remains incomplete. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Section 468.35a of the Iowa Code in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Base Bid plus all Alternates.
