Road Resurfacing (2nd revision). prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, Pavement - Surfacing, for the project with an estimated value of $3,566,812.00 will be required. Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Full Mill and Pave Resurfacing At the discretion of the contractor, sweep existing asphalt surface prior to milling. Full depth milling of existing asphalt. As required for drainage improvements, and at the direction of the city; regrade the subbase material (importing borrow or export spoils as necessary), and proof roll gravel subbase. Where 4 V2 milling depth, does not remove all the existing asphalt, if necessary, fill cracks . greater than % inch width in pavement base with crack seal. Adjust existing precast concrete structures, water valves, and gas valves. Sweep milled surface immediately prior to tacking & paving; apply even coat of asphalt emulsion for tack coat; if necessary and at direction of the city level with superpave leveling course 9.5mm; pave a base course of 3-inch compacted thickness of superpave intermediate course 19.0 mm; apply asphalt emulsion for tack coat between paving courses, pave surface course of 1.5-inch compacted thickness of superpave surface course 9.5 mm.
