**As of July 24, 2024 project has been canceled. The owner hopes to reopen this in a couple months. The Agency reserves the right to cancel this solicitation in whole or in part at any time as provided for in COMAR 21.06.02.02. All questions should be submitted in a timely manner, i.e. early enough to be received by the Procurement Officer at least one week before the bid due date. The Maryland School for the Deaf is soliciting vendors to prepare and install a 14' x 26' concrete pad.
Scope of the Work:
The project is expected to begin at a mutually convenient time agreed-upon by both the
Awardee and Maintenance Supervisor and/or Athletics Dept. All work should be completed
as expeditiously as possible with the highest quality workmanship.
C. Contract Award:
The contract will be awarded to the responsive bidder with the most favorable offer.
D. Specifications:
All work should be completed during normal business hours from 7am to 3pm. If the
contractor needs to work beyond the 3pm hour, he can get approval from the Maintenance
Supervisor.
The following Specifications:
1. The contractor will remove the needed grass and dirt area of 14' x 26'. The
contractor will also remove a depth of 2".
2. The contractor will tamp the dirt area to create a smooth source for installation of
stone
3. Contractor will install 2" inch of CR-6 stone or equivalent to create a concrete base
4. The contractor will tamp the 2" of CR-6 stone to create a smooth surface for pouring
concrete.
5. Contractor will pour 6" inches of 4000 PSI concrete with steel reinforced mesh.
6. The final concrete area should be 14' x 26' ft
7. Once the contractor has completed the concrete pad, there will be a final walk
through with Athletics or Procurement to sign off on the project. Questions regarding this solicitation may be directed electronically to the
