Notice ID- 15BFA024B00000018, 24Z4AT2 The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) herein issues solicitation 15BFA024B00000018 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled Replace Roofs Food Service and Unit B3 at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Milan, located in Milan, Michigan. FCI Milan is a federally owned facility located at 4004 E Arkona Rd, Milan, MI 48160. The project consists of the following: -Replace roofing on the following buildings: Food Service Roof and Unit B3 Roof - 23,000 S.F. -The contractor shall install a complete roof system to include but not limited to the following: remove existing EPDM and substrate down to roof deck, inspect existing roof deck to ensure suitability for new roof system, apply proper insulation/substrate, apply fully adhered EPDM as described below in section 07 5300, install proper flashing/penetration boots/roof curbs, and install new gutters/downspouts. The contractor shall install all work per Federal, State, and Local codes. -Work Location: The work will take place inside the secure perimeter of the Federal Correctional Institution located at 4004 E. Arkona Rd, Milan, MI. 48160. The specific area of work will be the food service and unit B3 roof which is located in the center of the institution grounds but accessible with a vehicle. -Scope of Work: The scope for this project will be to provide a new and complete roofing system free of leaks or defects using either Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM) per specification 07 5300 and 07 9200. The specifications are for a complete roofing system. In the event an individual component is not addressed but is required the contractor shall provide a complete assembly. Access to the specifications and drawings attachments will require an active website vendor registration (log in) AND may require a specific role or domain linked to your registration. Interested bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238160 (Roofing Contractors) with a corresponding small business size standard of $19 million. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The solicitation will be distributed solely through the website.
