Brief description of project: City Hall located at 220 N Hastings Avenue, Hastings NE. Interior demolition of walls, electrical, HVAC, etc. per plans. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Nebraska, or a bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid of all contract construction costs, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Hastings, Nebraska, as security that the bidder to whom the contract may be awarded will enter into a contract to build all the improvements in accordance with this notice and give bond in the sum hereinafter provided for the construction of improvements. No bid shall be withdrawn after opening of bids without the consent of the City of Hastings, Nebraska, for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time of closing bids. Time is of the essence in this contract. In evaluating bid(s) received, the City will consider the timelines of completion of prior construction contracts, existing workload of bidders and available manpower that bidder commits to the project The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the sum of the full amount of the Contract within ten (10) days of the date of award. No additional time will be allowed the Contractor for providing the Performance Bond Project Completion Date: October 1, 2024 Scope. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, and materials necessary to complete the following scope of work in the allotted time frame. 1. City Hall Interior Demolition: a. Remove all walls, ceilings and materials as shown on the plans. b. Remove all HVAC units and ductwork except for the 4 ERUs that shall be salvaged in place. c. Remove all plumbing piping and electrical conduits and boxes except for those marked before demolition starts. d. Leave in place all roof drain piping and all main sanitary sewer main trunk lines. e. Remove and salvage all marble slabs onsite as shown on the plans. f. Have qualified elevator maintenance company remove the elevator and all elevator equipment. g. Dispose of removed materials appropriately. h. Remove all the above materials to just below the roof deck as to not disturb the penetration through the roof.
