Reference Number 0000273972 Question Deadline 07/25/2024 at 12:00 PM ET The Village of Burks Falls is a single tier Municipality located 165 miles north of Toronto on the Highway 11 corridor between Huntsville and North Bay at the junction of Highways 11 and 520 in the District of Parry Sound. Burks Falis encompasses 780 acres with 435 households and a population of 981 residents who enjoy a balance of small-town living while being within easy reach of a larger urban town. The Village of Burks Falls applied to the Jays Care Foundation for upgrades to the municipal ball diamonds. The Villages grant application was approved. This Tender will be evaluated by staff and a recommendation made to Council for the final decision. Council reserves the right to decide on part or on whole of the proposals received. Extend the height of fencing (to a height of 8ft), in the direction of each outfield fence covering the front of the dugouts, discontinuing at each gate on the far side of each dugout. Supply and install two 8ft bleachers (metal) that are three rows in height behind each 10ft section of the backstop to a max of 27' L x 30" H x 81" D. Repair the current backstop as needed. The backstop is three-sided approx. 10 ft on each side a 20ft wide middle section. Replace the current backstop as needed. Replace the infield a layer of sand and 2" Muskoka mix/Washington mix. Supply and install magnetic bases in the ground at specified distances. Supply and install permanent mound. Home plate to backstop 60' 6". Supply and install prefabricated mound. Home plate to backstop 60' 6". Supply and spread topsoil/sand mixture to level the grass in the outfield, approx. 32 yards. Build metal roof for dugout and install. Remove old benches and supply and install prefabricated metal benches in each dugout, approximately 25ft each. Supply and install new fence capping, approximately 728ft. Completion of the project within the time stated within this Request for Tender.
