Construction contract for the new Animal Shelter, Environmental Education Centre, and the Post Traumatic Growth Association. The new shelter will be approximately 28,000 sq ft and support the services of the existing shelter in addition to new services; the Environmental Education Centre will be approximately 13,000 sq ft and provide space for Credit Valley Conservation to provide on-site education programs. The Post-Traumatic Growth Association will be approximately 2,000 sq ft and provide space for veterans, law enforcement, and first responders to have peer support meetings, workshops, activities, events, and support groups for spouses and caregivers. They may be constructed in one building or in multiple buildings. TIMELINE: Designs are ongoing. Tender schedules are pending owner's decision to proceed. Further project early spring 2026. *Project is being done in collaboration with the Post-Traumatic Growth Association and the Credit Valley Conservation Authority.
