The types of contracts available under the MCC Program are construction projects, facility repairs, neighborhood improvements, emergency repairs and maintenance work with a maximum value of $5.0M; ORD 09-101. All capital departments are participating. Additional opportunities are available through Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which enables low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings by families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry. Measures to make homes more energy efficient include: replacement or installation of key components, installation of energy recovery ventilation systems including bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans and installation of whole mechanical exhaust systems to provide better indoor air quality, install attic insulation, install window solar films, repair or replace inefficient cooling units, repair or replace water heaters and address air infiltration with weather stripping, caulking thresholds, minor wall repairs, ceiling and floors, windows and doors. License Requirements - At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and Contract Documents, the Bidder and all its subcontractor must hold a valid, current, and active State and/or Miami-Dade County contractor's license consistent with the requirements of the Scope of Work. RPQ No: 20240071- Intersection Improvements on SW 162nd Avenue and SW 104th Street ESTIMATED COST: $1,285,634.91 SBE-Service: 1.51% NIGP Codes: Landscaping (98852) and Sodding (79050) LICENSE REQUIREMENT: General Engineering, Paving SCOPE OF WORK: A. Work under this Contract includes furnishing of all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment And performing all operations required to construct the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. B. Work includes but is not limited to new signalized intersection at SW 104 St and SW 162 Ave. The scope includes milling and resurfacing and widening of the intersection, new signing and pavement markings, new signalization equipment including mast arms, cabinet and pedestrian signals, drainage, and ADA improvements. C. If any changes are required due to conflict of design, and/or, field conditions, the Engineer will make the final determination. D. The Contractor and all subcontractors, under this Contract, are prohibited from performing any work, other than specified in the Contract and/or directed by the Engineer, within the limits of the project site, without prior written notification to the Engineer. This includes any work for private or commercial entities. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 1.The Bidder must demonstrate that it has full-time personnel with the necessary experience to perform the Project's Scope of Work. This experience shall include work in successfully completed projects performed by the identified personnel whose bulk of work performed in the Public Right-of-Way is similar in detail to the Project's Scope of Work described in these Solicitation Documents. Demonstrate the experience requirement by: a. Providing a detailed description of at least three (3) projects similar in detail to the Project's Scope of Work described in these Solicitation Documents and in which the Bidder's identified personnel is currently engaged or has completed within the past five years. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: 1. At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and these Solicitation and Contract Documents, the Bidder must hold a valid, current, and active: a. Certificate of Competency as a General Engineering Contractor or as a Specialty Engineering Contractor, commensurate to the requirements of the Scope of Work, in one or more engineering crafts to include Paving Engineering. The specialty contractor shall subcontract with a qualified contractor any work which is incidental to the specialty but is specified in the aforementioned Code as being the work of other than that of the Engineering Specialty for which certified; or b. Pursuant to Section 255.20, Florida Statues (F.S.) and in lieu of the above, the County may consider a bid from a Bidder that is a duly licensed Contractor in good standing that has been prequalified and considered eligible by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) under Section 337.14, F.S. and Chapter 14-2, Florida Administrative Code, to perform the work described in the Contract Documents.
