Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in King City, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work contemplated consists of the resurfacing of residential roadway surfaces consisting of approximately 1,975 LF of asphaltic concrete (A.C.) roadway of varying widths. The work includes cold plane pavement removal of 2 inches in depth, placement of new 2 inch thick A.C. pavement, pavement restriping and markings, sign installations, and placement of 5 ADA sidewalk ramp at SW King Richard Dr, SW Monaco Ln, and SW King Arthur St. Contractor licensing under ORS 468A.720 for working with asbestos-containing materials is not a requirement of this project. Each bid must contain a statement as to whether or not the bidder is a resident bidder as defined in ORS 279A.120. Each bid must also contain a statement as to whether the bidder is registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board. No bid will be received or considered unless the bidder is registered with the Construction Contractors Board, as required by ORS 701.035 et seq. No bid will be considered unless the First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure form is submitted by the specified deadline. Faxed copies will NOT be accepted. Contractors must be qualified in accordance with the applicable parts of ORS 279 in order to enter into a contract with the City of King City for public work in Oregon. Proposals must be submitted on the prescribed forms and must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond executed in favor of City of King City in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish to the City of King City a performance bond and a payment bond each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder and all subcontractors will be required to furnish to the Oregon Construction Contractors Board a public works bond in the amount of $30,000, unless exempt under ORS 279C. The City of King City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities, and to accept the bid deemed in the best interests of the City of King City. The City of King City may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of the agency it is in the public interest to do so. The drawings and specifications shall be considered and used together. Anything appearing as a requirement of either shall be accepted as applicable to both even though not so stated therein or shown. No attempt has been made in these specifications or drawings to segregate work covered by any trade or subcontract under one specification. Such segregation and establishment of subcontract limits will be solely a matter of specific agreement between the CONTRACTOR and its subcontractors and shall not be based upon any inclusion, segregation or arrangement in or of these specifications.
