Renovation of a residential development in Farmingdale, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,000-square-foot residential development.
OPWDD's Long Island DDSO intends to procure service to Replace Exterior Siding and Trim (per the attached scope of work) pursuant to its discretionary purchasing authority. Any vendor questions not asked during the site visit must be submitted in writing to: Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov (within two business days of the site visit: June 27, 2024). Both questions and answers (if any) will be provided to all who attend the site visit via email by: July 3, 2024. Remove existing siding and trim (approx. 3,000 sqft.). Install new siding on entire exterior. Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 30% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 7% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% (Replace Exterior siding). The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Vendor is responsible to verify all quantities and measurements. Work is to be completed within 28 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of project, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Remove and dispose of existing sidings and related materials down to wood sheeting, (approx. 3,000 sqft) 2. Replace any rotted exterior sheeting, (10-sheets of 4x8 exterior grade). 3. Furnish and install new exterior Tyvek house wrap or equivalent. 4. Install 1/2 " foam board on exterior and seal all seams. 5. Provide and install Certainteed Cedar Boards insulated siding (double 6"), color to be Natural clay (60), all accessories to be matching. 6. Replace any rotted trim boards around window or doors. Wrap all trim with white aluminum capping with wood grain detail. Caulk as required to prevent water infiltration. 7. Provide new flashing by doors, windows, and other openings as needed to prevent water penetration. 8. Provide and install all new white vinyl mounting blocks for all penetrations (water, electric, exhaust, ECT...) through siding. Install new white attic vents. 9. Caulk with a quality 100% silicone sealant where necessary. 10. OPWDD is the AHJ. Equivalent substitutions allowed. All substitutions need prior approval. All work and installations are to be performed to industry standards, manufacture's specifications and currant codes or regulations. 11. Provide any and all thrid party inspections or certifications required.
