Renovation of a residential development in Fall River, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Bidders Must Be Certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (Dcamm) in the Work Category: Roofing Bids Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Deposit That is Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Bid Amount and Made Payable to the Fall River Housing Authority. Bids Are Subject to M.g.l.c. 149 Sec. 44a-j and to Prevailing Wage Rates as Determined by the U.s. Secretary of Labor. The Fall River Housing Authority Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids or to Waive Any Informalities in the Bidding if It Be in the Public Interest to Do So. ***Document Notes: Bid Forms and Bidding Documents May Be Downloaded at No Charge. However, There is a Plan Deposit of $50.00 Per Set for Each Hard Copy (Maximum of 2 Sets), if Requested by the Bidder, Payable to Online. Plan Deposits May Be Electronically Paid or by Check. This Deposit Will Be Refunded for Up to Two (2) Sets for Bidders Upon Return of the Sets in Good Condition Within Thirty (30) Days of Receipt of Bids. Otherwise, the Deposit Shall Be the Property of the Awarding Authority. Bidders Requesting Contract Documents to Be Mailed to Them Shall Include a Separate Check for $40.00 Per Set for Ups Ground (or $65.00 Per Set for Ups Overnight), Nonrefundable, and Payable to the Online to Cover Mail Handling Costs. The work generally includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Removal of the existing membrane roofing assembly at the specified Buildings, to existing roof sub-structure and replacement with new modified bitumen roofing assembly and metal flashings. 2. Incidental brick masonry pointing and painting of existing metal fascia. The Fall River Housing Authority has adopted, as part of its Affirmative Action Plan, a resolution that all contracts awarded by the Authority shall have a goal of twenty percent (20%) for Minority and women Business Enterprise participation. The goals and timetables for minority and female participation, expressed in percentage terms for the contractor's workforce in each trade on all construction work in the covered area, area as follows: Female: 6.9% Minorities: 1.6% Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Contract Documents shall make a written request for information (RFI) as specified in the Advertisement. The Awarding Authority may answer such requests if received before the bid date and/or within the time as specified in the Advertisement. The Awarding Authority has no obligation to respond to the written requests. 3.3 Interpretation, correction, or change in the Contract Documents will be made by written Addendum which will become part of the Contract Documents. Neither the Awarding Authority nor the Prime Designer will be held accountable for any oral interpretations, corrections, or changes.
