As of August 22, 2024 project was awarded to Vinton Construction Company, awarded amount is $444,982.80. The work is known officially as "The Village of Germantown 2024 Water Main Improvements Project No. 2402" and shall consist of relaying water main & new water main, including water services, on specified Village roads in the Village of Germantown for the calendar year 2024 in accordance with the requirements of the Public Works & Highway Committee. Major Items of Work - Approximate Quantities 1,536 L.F 8-Inch PVC Watermain 275 L.F. 12-Inch PVC Watermain 855 L.F. Water Services (24 Services total) 74 L.F. 15-Inch CMP Culverts (~350 L.F. Ditch Regrading) 2 EA 8-Inch Gate Valve 1 EA 12-Inch Gate Valve 3 EA Hydrant Assembly(s) PROPOSALS A bidder's qualification statement must be received by the Village of Germantown at least five (5) days before the bid opening date. The proposal form furnished by the Village shall be properly executed by the bidder. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check payable to the Village of Germantown equal to five percent (5%) of the largest possible total bid or bids, including consideration of alternates. The successful bidder's failure to execute the contract and furnish the performance bond within ten (10) days after the award shall cause the Check or Bid Bond to be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages (Section 62.15(3), Wisconsin Statutes). The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any minor informality or irregularity in bids received. All proposals shall remain firm and may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening date. The 2024 Water Main Improvements Project consists of new water main installation or relay water main along several streets as described below: 1. Shagbark Road and Glenwood Road Watermain Relay Relay approximately 1,210 LF of 8" PVC water main, including hydrants and valves at the locations as shown on the plans. Relay will include the installation of new water services to the right-of-way. 2. School Road Water Main Installation & Drainage Improvements Install approximately 326 LF of 8" PVC watermain, including hydrants and valves at the location as shown on the plans. Installation of new water main will include the installation of new water services to the right-of-way. Due to the proposed location of the new water main, replacement of 3 driveway culverts and ~350 linear feet of ditch regrading is required as part of the work. Work also includes the replacement of one hydrant near N98 W15654 School Road. 3. Hilbert Lane Relay approximately 275 LF of 12" PVC water main, including a hydrant and valves at the location as shown on the plans. Relay will include the installation of a new water service to the right-of-way.
