The City of Clarence, IA State Revolving Fund (SRF) Project, In the City of Clarence, IA, on 7 th Ave, from Lombard Street/Hwy 30 to South of Piatt Street 680 ft. The project will have two payment Divisions. Division 1 will be State Revolving Fund (SRF) Funding and Division 2 will be locally funded. Project will replace and abandon existing 4 inch water main with 2159 LF of 8 inch C900 PVC water main. To replace existing water main the City is replacing the existing roadway surface with 7118SY for Division 1 and 1683 SY for Division 2 of 8 inch thick PCC with dowels. The existing water services along 7 th Ave will be replaced up to and including the curb stop and box with plastic water service lines. The project substantial completion date is September 1, 2025. The project final completion date is October 1, 2025 Each BIDDER shall accompany its bid with a bid security as security that the successful BIDDER will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of CONTRACT. The bid security shall be 5% and shall be in the form of a Bid Bond, cashier's check, or certified check drawn on a state chartered or federally charted bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union. The Bid Bond shall contain no exceptions. See Article 7 - Bid Security. The successful BIDDER shall be required to furnish a performance BOND and a payment BOND, each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, within ten (10) calendar days of the date when the NOTICE OF AWARD is delivered to the BIDDER. The NOTICE OF AWARD shall be accompanied by the necessary AGREEMENT and BOND forms. In case of failure of the BIDDER to execute the AGREEMENT, the OWNER may at his option consider the BIDDER in default, in which case the BID BOND shall become property of the OWNER. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
