Reference Number 0000355205 This work shall consist of milling out 1.5"-2" to level. All surfaces will be swept, and tack coat applied. All surfaces are to be paved with 6.3 Polymer-Modified Hot Mix Asphalt (135Ibs.) at a thickness of 1 1/2 " after completion. Pavement course shall be constructed in accordance with these specifications and in reasonably close conformity with the required lines, grades, thicknesses, and typical sections shown on the plans or established by the Highway Superintendent. This is a performance-based specification in which the Contractor is responsible for compacting the pavement to a specified density requirement. Written instructions for determining pavement density are available from the Regional Materials Engineer or the Director, Materials Bureau.
