Description: Maine Federal Aid Project No. 2626000 WIN 026260.00 Location: In Lincoln & Knox Counties Segment 1: On U.S. Route 1 in Waldoboro, beginning 0.14 of a mile east of Goshen Road (RLM 115.46) and continuing 2.61 miles to the Route 90 Intersection. (RLM 118.07). In Knox County Segment 2: On U.S. Route I in Thomaston, beginning at the 50 MPH sign north of Old Country Road (RLM 124.48) and continuing 0.98 of a mile to the island south of Buttermilk Drive. (RLM 125.46). In Washington County Segment 3: On U.S. Route 1 in Baileyville, beginning at the 45 MPH sign north of Berry Lane (RLM 325.34) and continuing 3.65 miles to the pavement joint at the Princeton/Baileyville Townline. (RLM 328.99). Segment 4: On U.S. Route 1 in Topsfield, beginning at the 50 MPH sign north of Route 6 (RLM 350.53) and continuing 7.49 miles to the 40 MPH sign south of Forest City Rd. (RLM 358.02). The Contractor agrees to complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract including Extra Work in conformity with the Contract, WIN 026260.00 for Rumble Strip Installation in the towns of Waldoboro, Warren, Thomaston, Baileyville, Topsfield, Hodgdon, Grand Isle, Limestone, Caswell, Hamlin, Canaan, Pittsfield, Palmyra, Trenton, Bar Harbor, Lee, Springfield, Sherman, Patten, Mount Chase, Hersey, Masardis, Ashland, Portage Lake, Eagle Lake, Wallagrass, Fort Kent, Paris, West Paris, Pittston, Eustis, Coburn Gore, Wayne, Livermore Falls, the townships of Brookton, Kossuth, T8 R5 WELS, T9 R5 WELS, Wyman, Johnson Mountain, the plantations of Carroll, Moro, Nashville, Coplin, West Forks, and the city of Ellsworth, counties of Androscoggin, Aroostook, Franklin, Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Penobscot, Somerset, Washington, Maine. The Work includes construction, maintenance during construction, warranty as provided in the Contract, and other incidental work. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of I 00 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation The right is hereby reserved to MaineDOT to reject any or all bids MEDOT - Rumble Strip Installation - Statewide
