2024/06/26 02:00:00 PM MDT This Request for Prequalification (PRQ) is directed to Emergency Disaster & Restoration Services Contractors to apply and seek prequalified status with the University of Calgary (University). This discipline should be your core competency, performed by your own employees, and not work you would normally sub-contract out.
These services will include, but not be limited to:
fire damage response, mitigation, and restoration including smoke & odour control;
water damage response, mitigation, and restoration including water extraction and moisture metering to determine if building materials such as walls, floors, and ceilings are dry or should be removed;
document drying and restoration services setting up access to document restoration service companies, packing and shipping items as per the directions of the University;
repair services;
electronic equipment restoration services;
air dehumidification and purification;
Inventorying damaged contents and cleaning, drying, sanitizing, and/or disposal as per University directions;
secure and store contents;
trauma scene clean-up;
mold remediation;
moving items and content manipulation;
procuring subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, flooring, pump vac, etc.)
The intention of this PRQ is to prequalify two (2) Proponents for Emergency Disaster & Restoration Services. As required, the University reserves the right to prequalify additional Proponents if it is in the best interest of the University. The PRQ will be awarded to Proponents who submit a proposal which, in the sole opinion of the University, represents the best overall value. Successful Proponents in this process will be placed on the Preferred Suppliers List.
Emergency projects are time sensitive and Proponents will be chosen from the Preferred Supplier List based on the availability of each Applicant. Depending on the project size, more than one Proponent from the Preferred Supplier List may be chosen. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
