Replacement and upgrades of the current Security Electronics System to be compatible with system existing at Site 1. Scope of work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: 1. There is an existing Vicon Valerus Video IP System at the main facility (Site 1). Provide an extension of that system to Site 2 as described on the drawings and specifications. a. In some instances, "new" cameras shall be provided. b. In some instances, the existing cameras shall be "removed and replaced". c. In some instances, the existing cameras shall be "abandoned" (remove device). 2. Replace all Local Area Network Switches 3. Replace all Uninterruptible Power Supplies 4. Provide ductless split electric cooling systems in certain equipment rooms as shown on the drawings. C. Subsurface conditions shall be considered to be unclassified. The Contractor shall visit the site and fully inform themself and develop their own assessment of conditions to be encountered and provide for same in the bid. D. It will be the duty of the Contractor to coordinate with the Warden or his/her designee whenever the construction activities impede normal parking, traffic access, or normal day-to-day activities of the Facility. Scheduling of tie-ins and excavation in the vicinity of the sidewalks and driveways shall be coordinated with the Warden or his/her designee. E. Restore disturbed surface conditions to original grades and contours. Restore any paving or concrete work disturbed to match adjacent surfaces and construction. F. Restore landscape areas at completion of work ready for Owner's use. Contractor shall restore surface conditions to pre-project finished grade and contours, and reseed. G. Coordinate all conduit and conductor routing and elevations inside buildings and make minor adjustments as required or directed to assure proper fit and avoidance of conflicts. H. Review existing conditions as related to underground utilities and cable systems and locate existing utilities and cables prior to trenching. Hand digging of trenches may be required in areas around existing buildings and utilities. Bids are invited for a General Contract for the Work of the above project. Pre-Qualification Submittals: Security Electronics Companies (SEC) proposing to provide the Security Electronics System as described in Specification Section 01 15 00 - General Provisions of the bidding documents shall submit qualifications as described in Part 1 of that specification section no later than 5:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday - June 26, 2024. Qualifications shall be submitted to the Designer. Certified or cashier's check made payable to the State of Tennessee in the amount of $1,000 Bidders submitting bids equal to or greater than $25,000 in value are required to be licensed in accordance with state law. A statement of public contract crime status and minority business status is required in the Bid Form. Additionally, the Drug Free Workplace Affidavit and a five percent (5%) bid security is required. Non discrimination policy applies to this project. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject bids.
