Asbestos Abatement of 305 South 2nd Street The intent of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to establish an Asbestos Abatement Contract for the asbestos abatement of two (2) commercial structure located at 305 S 2nd Street. The work shall be completed within 20 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. All work shall be completed by August 9, 2024. The engineer's estimate of probable cost associated with this project is $29,600 Floor Tile / Mastic - Feed Store / Stone Building 3,500 Square Feet Roofing Tar (Sheet Metal) / Stone Building 2,700 Square Feet Door Caulking/ Stone Building 3 Door Openings Former Temple Feed Store/Stone Building - 305 S. 2 nd Street Temple, Texas Question Deadline 06/24/2024 at 12:00 PM CT Submit questions in writing through the Bonfire online bidding portal or email to purchasing@templetx.gov. July 2024 Anticipated Award SCOPE OF WORK a. The awarded Contractor shall provide any water and electricity needed for the asbestos abatement activities. b. The asbestos-containing materials must be removed and properly disposed of by an accredited asbestos abatement contractor. c. An aerial map of the project location is provided in Attachment 6.1. d. As reflected in the Asbestos Abatement Project Design, provided as Attachment 6.2, the abatement work consists of approximately 3,500 square feet of floor tile/mastic, 2,700 square feet of roofing tar, and 3 door openings with door caulking. e. The Asbestos Abatement Project Design, provided as a separate Attachment 6.2, requires onsite air monitoring during the abatement process that will be provided by Austin Environmental, Inc. The air monitoring services will be funded by the city for a maximum of 5 days.
