Site work for a water / sewer project in Belle Plaine, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Water Supply System Improvements: Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for construction of approximately 4,439 L.F. of 6" raw water supply line, approximately 2,086L.F. of 2" force main, approximately 2,422 L.F. of 12" potable water supply main, three submersible well pumps, demolition of three existing well houses, well pitless units, backup generator, air releases, hydrants, valves and appurtenances, excavation, backfilling, grading, site concrete work, gravel surfacing, grass seeding, erosion control, well piping and electrical improvements, and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. This project is funded in part by the Kansas Department Health and Environment Revolving Loan (KPWSLF), and permanent financing from the United State Department of Agriculture - Rural Development (USDA-RD). The bidder's attention is called to the required compliance with KPWSLF, and USDA-RD funding requirements. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the presidents Executive Order No. 11246 (Equal Employment Opportunity) as amended. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. A pre-bid conference for the Project will not be held. Bidders must fully comply with Subpart C of 2 CFR Part 180 and 2 CFR Part 1532, entitled Responsibilities of Participants Regarding Transactions. Contractors, subcontractors, or suppliers that appear on the Excluded Parties List System at online are not eligible for award of any contracts funded by the KDHE State Revolving Fund programs. All contracts and subcontracts exceeding $100,000, at any tier under a SRF Loan Agreement shall comply with the Anti-Lobbying Act, Section 319 of Public Law 101-121, and file an Anti-Lobbying Certification form, and the Disclosure of Lobbying Activities form, if required, to the next tier above. Bid Package No. 1: $2,000,000 - This Project has an expected duration of 240 days Bidders on this work, including sub-contractors or vendors, will be required to comply with the Kansas Act Against Discrimination (K.S.A. 44-1001 et. seq.) and the Kansas Age Discrimination in Employment Act (K.S.A. 44-1111 et. seq.). American Iron and Steel: Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States.
