A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The City of Victorville is requesting a bid from a qualified contractor to furnish, deliver, and install new Fire Station replacement bay doors and motors at Fire Station 311, Fire Station 312, and Fire Station 313. All work to include labor, materials, tools, equipment and supplementary services necessary to complete the work. Question Deadline 07/09/2024 at 12:00 PM PT Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, plans, specifications, etc., must request it in writing to the Purchasing Division. A bid received from a Contractor who is not represented by a duly authorized agent at the pre-bid meeting and job walk shall be considered non-responsive and rejected form further contract award consideration. Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond in the form of a certified or cashier's check or Corporate Surety Bond in amounts not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted bid amount. This is a State Prevailing Wage Project. Prevailing Hourly Wages shall apply to and be paid by all contractors and subcontractors performing work on this Project. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: Bidder must be licensed in accordance with the "Contractor's License Law", Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the California Business and Professions Code. At the time of submitting the bid, Bidder must possess a valid C-28 and/or C-61/D28 California Contractor's License. A-8 IN-USE OFF-ROAD DIESEL-FUELED FLEET CERTIFICATE OF REPORTED COMPLIANCE: Valid CARB Certificates of Reported Compliance as described in California Code of Regulations, Title 13, Section 2449(n) for fleets of vehicles subject to 13 CCR section 2449 are required for this Project. Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, plans, specifications, etc., must request it in writing to the Purchasing Division by no later than 12:00 p.m. PST on July 9, 2024, in order to allow a reply to reach all prospective bidders before the submission of their bids. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a Contract will not be binding. Any information given a prospective bidder concerning this solicitation will be furnished promptly to all prospective bidders as an addendum to the solicitation, if that information is necessary in submitting bids or if the lack of it would be prejudicial to other prospective bidders. The Contractor shall begin work by the date specified in the City's Notice to Proceed informing him/her that the contract has been awarded and shall diligently prosecute the work so that all the work shall be completed before the expiration of Sixty (60) CALENDAR DAYS, including the specified starting date. A material and workmanship guaranty for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of acceptance of the work will be required. A guaranty form for this purpose is included in the Proposal. The Contractor, simultaneously with execution of the Contract, shall furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%), of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of the Contract, and a separate surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection with the Contract. Bonds must be issued by an admitted surety insurer in the State of California, as set forth in the Public Contract Code, Section 20170. Full compensation for furnishing the guaranty and bonds will be considered as included in the contract price or prices paid for the items or work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed, therefore. Estimated Range $150,000-$250,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
