The purpose of this Quick Quote is to establish a contract with one (1) Contractor to furnish and install one (1) 3- inch Wilkins 975 (S/N B03979) RPZA backflow preventor, or approved equivalent and one (1) 3-inch Beeco 6C6CM (S/N 9908250 RPZA backflow preventor, or approved equivalent at the Deerfield Correctional Center Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 21360 Deerfield Drive, Capron, VA 23829. Contractor shall: 1. Provide all tools, labor, equipment, materials, incidentals and supervision, etc. to complete the work. 2. Remove existing two (2) backflow preventors. 3. Furnish and install one (1) new 3-inch Wilkins 975 (S/N B03979) RPZA backflow preventor, or approved equivalent located in the fire pump room water treatment that serves the fire tank refill. Work to include reconnecting the new relief valve air gap assembly to the existing relief valve air gap drain piping. 4. Furnish and install one (1) 3-inch Beeco 6C6CM (S/N 9908250 RPZA backflow preventor or approved equivalent located in the water treatment area. No relief valve air gap assembly drain for this device. 5. Certify and test both backflow preventors. Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the specifications/scope of work and requirements of this solicitation, attendance at the Mandatory Site-Visit will be a prerequisite for submitting a bid. Bids will only be accepted from those bidders who are represented at the Mandatory Site-Visit. Attendance at the Mandatory Site-Visit will be evidenced by the representative's signature on the attendance roster. Any bidder who has visited the job site to inspect the full scope of work to be completed and confirmed by DOC will not be required to attend. Bring a copy of the solicitation with you. Any changes resulting from the Mandatory Site-Visit will be issued in a written addendum to the solicitation. Question Deadline 06/17/2024: If any prospective bidder has questions about the specifications or other solicitation documents, the prospective bidder should contact the buyer Cynthia Creed no later than five working days before the due date. Any revisions to the solicitation will be made only by addendum issued by the buyer. The Commonwealth will make the award(s) on a Grand Total basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that is a DSBSD-certified micro business if such a bid is received, provided that the bid is up to and including $10,000 and the agency in its sole discretion determines that the bid price is fair and reasonable. Otherwise, award of the contract shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that is a DSBSD-certified small business if such a bid is received, provided that the bid is not more than $100,000 and the agency in its sole discretion determines that the bid price is fair and reasonable. If, in the agency's opinion, the criteria in the previous two sentences are not present, then award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder of any size, provided the agency in its sole discretion determines that the price is fair and reasonable. If applicable, unit prices, extensions and grand total must be shown. In case of arithmetic errors, the unit price will govern. If cash discount for prompt payment is offered, it must be clearly shown in the space provided. Discounts for early prompt payment will not be considered in making awards.
