Site work and paving for a road / highway in Elon, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work will include the following items: Approximately 8,500 - SY of 2" Milling Approximately 1,000 TN of Bituminous Concrete Asphalt Course Type S 9.5B Approximately 6,250 LBS of Crack Sealant. Additional other associated work. Consideration will be given only to bids of Contractors who submit evidence that they are licensed under "An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting", ratified by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and as subsequently amended, when such Act is applicable. Each Proposal Shall Be Accompanied With a Deposit of Cash or Certified Check on Some Bank or Trust Company Insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in an Amount Equal to Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Proposal, Said Check to Be Made Payable to the Town of Elon In lieu of the above cash or certified check , the bidder may execute a Bid Bond for the same amount. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise provisions are included in the contract. The contractor should study and become familiar with these items. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, by order of the Board of Aldermen, Town of Elon, North Carolina.
