Selfridge Air National Guard Base, 48045 MI, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary for the completion of VGLZ 232024 Demolition of B-1405 . The intent of this project is to demolish and remove Building 1405, all paved surfaces, sidewalks, and site amenities such as fences, light poles, etc. Utilities will be disconnected and capped. The landscape will be backfilled and planted to match and blend with adjacent terrain. The installation and replacement shall include but is not limited to all construction, excavation, foundation, soil work, piping and conduit and conductor installation, power connections, and system start-up and validation. It is suspected there is asbestos present in the vinyl floor tile and/or the tile adhesive. There is approximately 29,240 s.f. of vinyl flooring with adhesive in the building. To protect the Government's interest bid bonds will be required in accordance with FAR 28.101 In addition, payment and performance bonds shall be required of the awarded contractor in accordance with FAR 28.103-2 (a)(4) and FAR 28-103-3(a). The penal sum of the payment and performance bond shall be 100% of the contract price. If the contract price increases, the contractor shall provide an additional amount equal to 100 percent of the increase The contract duration will be 180 calendar days after notice to proceed to include inspection and punch list. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses, The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238910, with a small business size standard of $19,000,000.00 The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on-or-about 29 July 2024.
