Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of the District Attorney's Offices, invites your company to bid on providing window washing services for District Attorney buildings as needed. Salt Lake County Contracts and Procurement, on behalf of the District Attorney's Offices, invites your company to bid on providing window washing services. Window washing services for the Salt Lake County District Attorney buildings as needed for the locations as described below. This is an anticipated need, but could be more (Also See Specifications). SLC Downtown DA building o Washing exterior side of exterior windows including the parking garage elevator enclosures and skybridge a minimum of 2 times per year. (More if requested by customer) o Washing interior side of exterior windows including both sides of windows in light well and both sides of windows in 5th floor break room a minimum of 1time per year. (More if requested by customer) o Must include cleaning of footprints/handprints and water marks created during window cleaning process. West Jordan DA building o Washing exterior side of exterior windows, a minimum of 2 times per year.(More if requested by customer) o Washing interior side of exterior windows, a minimum of 1 time per year.(More if requested by customer) o Must include cleaning of footprints/handprints and water marks created during window cleaning process. South Valley Children's Justice Center o Washing exterior side of exterior windows, a minimum of 2 times per year.(More if requested by customer) o Washing interior side of exterior windows, a minimum of 1 time per year.(More if requested by customer) o Must include cleaning of footprints/handprints and water marks created during window cleaning process. At the County's discretion, other agencies of Salt Lake County may use this contract. o Awarded bidder to provide all equipment and supplies necessary to complete services including safety gear and any lift equipment needed to access any hard-to-reach places. Bidder is responsible to verify that equipment can safely be transported to areas needed without damaging property. o Must use spot free solution behind security mesh on 1st floor of parking garage. o Must have 5 years commercial window washing experience. o Must have experience and follow safe practices of cleaning art glass. o Art glass on south-east exterior of Downtown DA building must be hand dried. o Awarded vendors must pass a yearly background check prior to scheduling cleaning of District Attorney facilities. o Vendor must cover 2nd floor antiques rug and furniture, clear surrounding ledges of anything that may be hit by swinging ropes and caution tape area directly below skylight while cleaning area. Vendor must clean skylight area after regular business hours to minimize risk to DA staff. 2.0 CONTENTS: If any provision or specification in this "Request for Bids and Resulting Contract" (RFC) is ambiguous or is disputed by a bidder, the bidder must notify the County Contracts and Procurement Division prior to the opening of the bids. No dispute or protest concerning the ambiguity of these specifications or provisions of this RFC shall be accepted following opening of the bids. Questions shall be submitted through our online. Bidders will need to go through security so please do not bring knives and other restricted items. Bidders not attending do so at their own risk. The written questions submitted, along with any other additional information pertaining to the clarification of specifications, will be discussed in detail at this conference. Bidders shall thoroughly familiarize themselves with this RFC document including specifications prior to attending the conference. Verbal statements or information given at a pre-bid conference is not binding on the bidder or the County unless released in a Bid Addendum. 5.0 CONTRACT TERM: The contract resulting from this solicitation will become effective on the date of execution with a five (5) year term. The County reserves the right to review the contract(s) on a regular basis regarding performance and cost analysis and may negotiate price and service elements during the term of the contract. 6.0 ANNUAL PURCHASES: No minimum or maximum quantity or purchases under this contract can be specified. For information purposes only and not as a guarantee of usage by the County, approximate annual amount under this contract may be $15,000.00. REQUIREMENT: Knowledge of art glass cleaning techniques. o Potential vendors are required to bid on all locations. o Vendor to provide lift needed to wash 5th floor skylight windows not accessible by roof hatches. Lift must fit in elevator #3 and cannot exceed 3500 pounds. o Vendors must cover 2nd floor antique rug and furniture, clear surrounding ledges of anything that may be hit by swinging ropes and caution tape area directly below skylight while cleaning area. o Vendor also needs to clean any shoe or handprints left on walls and paneling during the cleaning process. o Vendors to provide lift needed to wash exterior of sky bridge, exterior of garage glass enclosure and exterior windows under 5th floor break room. Salt Lake County may award bids and contracts to vendors through a preference system. Please refer to the preference attachment. Salt Lake County may reject any or all bids if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to do a multiple award by awarding multiple contracts to the responsive, responsible bidders meeting specifications who bid the lowest overall cost to the County. Up to two contracts may be awarded for this contract. Purchases will be made based upon agency criteria such as price quotes, availability, location, etc. 9.0 PRICING: County will determine the low bidder based upon price(s) bid on the attached bid schedule. The price to be paid by County upon each order placed under the contract(s) will be the price that the successful bidder submitted for that item (See Pricing Schedule).
