Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 87,000-square-foot municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The West Virginia Purchasing Division, for the agency, the West Virginia Army National Guard, Construction and Facilities Management Office, is soliciting Expressions of Interest from qualified firms to provide professional architectural and engineering design services to develop construction documents for the construction of a new Readiness Center, in Martinsburg WV. The purpose of the project for which bids are being solicited is to provide architecture and engineering design services and to provide construction bid documents suitable for advertisement using state purchasing procedures, meeting all current building codes, ADA compliance, force protection standards and to perform construction administration services. This project will consist of two phases. This initial phase will require that the awarded vendor provide a design for the construction that is to the 35% completion level. That partial design will then be utilized by the Agency to secure additional federal funding for the complete design and the construction. If additional federal funding is obtained, Phase 2 will include the completion of the remaining 65% of the construction design, assistance in competitive bidding for the construction work, and construction administration once a construction contract is awarded. The project will include the construction of an addition/alteration to the Martinsburg Readiness Center located at 731 Novak Drive, in Martinsburg, WV. The current facility is approximately 87,000 square feet and requires an addition to the current structure to fully support the mission of the facility. (Project).
