Purpose Using personnel qualified under the requirements of NAVFAC P-307, certify by pull testing that the Hilti inserts installed in 100 concrete trench cover blocks are suitable IAW the specification listed below. Details The attached photos show the overall arrangement of the inserts to be pull tested. There are 83 concrete blocks that cover the trench run that is shown in the "Service Trench Looking North" and "Service Trench Looking South" pictures, and another 17 concrete blocks that run adjacent to these in an extension of the trench that are not shown in these pictures but that are equally accessible. With one exception, each of these 100 blocks has 4 Hilti HIS-RN internally threaded anchor sleeve inserts imbedded with Hilti HIT-HY 200 adhesive as illustrated in the "Typical Block Example - 4 inserts each" picture. The exception has only 3 such inserts, although this block was also intended to have 4 inserts. The red plastic thread protectors shown in these pictures were installed at the time of insert installation in 2020. Questions must be submitted no later than 23 June 2024.
