City Park Pedestrian Bridges Project. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security made payable to the OWNER, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the BIDDER's maximum bid price and in the form of a Bid Bond issued by an acceptable surety, cashier's check, or certified check. The City Park Pedestrian Bridges Project (Project) is generally described as the construction and installation of two pedestrian bridges. The bridges will be installed in the Copperas Cove City Park located at 1206 West Avenue B, Copperas Cove, TX 76522. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all permits, testing, labor, materials, machinery, equipment and necessary landscaping needed to construct and complete the Project. General Project Description/Requirements The project includes two (2) identical bridge designs with one being a sixty-six (66') foot span (may be multi-span) and the second being a thirty-six (36) foot single span. Both bridges shall have an internal clearance of no less than seven (7) feet with a capacity rating of no less than ninety-five (95) pounds per square foot. Bridge design and installation must be in compliance with all ADA and other applicable requirements. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful BIDDER, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids. The City reserves the right to award the bid to either the lowest responsible bidder or to the bidder who provides goods or services at the best value for the City, in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code.
