This section specifies the replacement of existing non-functioning HVAC systems with new HVAC systems at three locations throughout the Forest: See Attachment Drawings Figures 1-6 for locations and site plans. 1. Star Ranger Station Bldg. 2015 - Replacement of 5-ton HVAC system (Base Item) 2. Powers Ranger Station Bldg. 2009- Replacement of a 5-ton HVAC system (Base Item) 3. Prospect Ranger Station Bldg. 2007 -Replacement of a 3-ton Heat Pump and 5-ton Air Handler with a 5-ton HVAC system. (Option Item) The project shall include all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision, and incidentals necessary for the turnkey operation of the replacements. Contractor shall submit which system is planned to be installed explaining the type, size, efficiency, and manufacturer of respective HVAC system. The contractor must take the following into consideration when determining the best systems to provide for installation: Manufacturer warranty. Parts availability. Serviceability by local service technicians. Compliance with Buy American Act-Construction Materials FAR 52.225-9. C.2 PROJECT LOCATION 1. The Star Ranger Station is located in Jackson County, Oregon on the Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District. The site may be reached by proceeding to 6941 Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville, OR 97530. 2. The Powers Ranger Station is in Coos County, Oregon on the Powers Ranger District. The site may be reached by proceeding to 42861 Highway 242, Powers, OR, 97466. 3. The Prospect Ranger Station is located in Jackson County, Oregon on the High Cascades Ranger District. The site may be reached by proceeding to 47201 Crater Lake Hwy (OR62), Prospect, OR 97536. C.3 MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT The Government's estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. This pre-solicitation notice is for the supply and installation of three (3) HVAC systems to replace nonfunctioning systems at three locations throughout the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. Existing HVAC systems will need to be removed and disposed of by the contractor. No formal pre-award site visit is planned. A post-award site visit can be scheduled during Post-Award Conference.
