Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Saline, Louisiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or Bid Bond written by a surety or insurance company complying with R.S. 38:2218 C. The Bid Bond shall be in the favor of the Owner, and shall be accompanied by appropriate power of attorney The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract amount, written by a surety or insurance company meeting the requirements noted in R.S. 38:2219 A. (1)(a), (b) and (c) The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38:2212(B)(1). The provisions and requirements of this Section and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. The scope of work includes constructing two (2) new toilets/shower rooms, new kitchen equipment installation of new mechanical system, duct work, vents, grilles, PTAC units; installation of new plumbing fixtures. The scope of work includes removal of the remnants of the existing mechanical system and installation of new HVAC units, duct work, grilles, vents, etc. for a completely new HVAC system The Bidder shall agree to fully complete the contract within (365) consecutive calendar days
