Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wayland, Michigan. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As off August 15, 2024, the Township does not award this project and wait for a more favorable bidding climate by rebidding the project this winter. This project includes construction of four pickleball courts. The work will include site preparation & grading, misc. removals, aggregate base, HMA court & path paving, pickleball court, basketball court, hopscotch and four square color surfacing and striping, fencing, tree planting, surface restoration and all related work. Prospective Bidders may request the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office. The date the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. A pre-bid conference will not be held. This project is funded through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Recreation Passport Grant Fund and relevant state or federal requirements shall apply. Davis-Bacon Federal Wage rates are not required. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Yankee Springs Township reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of Yankee Springs Township. Question 07/03/2024: Owner on its own initiative may issue Addenda to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents.Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered Plan Holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only responses set forth in an Addendum will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Responses to questions are not part of the Contract Documents unless set forth in an Addendum that expressly modifies or supplements the Contract Documents. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. These bonds must remain in effect until one year after the date when final payment becomes due or until completion of the correction period specified in Paragraph 15.08, whichever is later, except as provided otherwise by Laws or Regulations, the terms of a prescribed bond form, the Supplementary Conditions, or other provisions of the Contract Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. The Work will be substantially complete on or before October 15, 2024, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before November 1, 2024
