The Work for Which Bids Are Asked Includes the Following: Approximately: 4325 Sy Pavement Removal, 535 Sy Concrete Sidewalk Removal, 2610 Lf Curb and Gutter Removal, 2750 Cy Common Excavation, 1030 Ton Hma Pavement, 3450 Sf Concrete Sidewalk 4-inch, 375 Sf Concrete Sidewalk 6-inch, 4705 Sf Concrete Driveway 6-inch, 2630 Lf Concret Curb and Gutter, 2370 Sy Seed Lawn Restoration, Pavement Marking, and Miscellaneous Items Associated With Above Work. A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the City of Beloit in the amount of 5% of the Bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee, that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by the City of Beloit. Failure of the part of the Bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the Bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to the City of Beloit as liquidated damages. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the City of Beloit for 110% of the Contract Price for each of the above Bonds, in accordance with the requirement of the Contract Documents.
