Renovation of a water / sewer project in Winthrop, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Project includes Replacement of the Mechanic Street Pump Station, renewal of 4 wet well/dry pit pump stations along Memorial Drive, and renewal of 3 submersible pump stations. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $[2,000,000]. The Project has an expected duration of 280 days, once materials and equipment are obtained and Contact time commences. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents in various formats as described below may be purchased for the fees listed. A certified check or bank draft payable to the OWNER or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after receipt of bids unless released by the Owner. If bid amount is $125,00.00 or greater then Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. If bid amount is $125,000.00 or greater, Payment and Performance Bonds will need to be provided at Contract Signing as described in the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Question Deadline 07/02/2024 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. James Lord, P.E., Project Manager at jlord@dirigoengineering.com Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
