Mac Thompson Road - Roadway Resurfacing project. The work consists of furnishing and installing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and related services required for a complete project. The project begins at the intersection of Mac Thompson Road and Colonial Road and continues approximately 4,565 linear feet South and Southeast to the intersection of Mac Thompson Road and Faulk Road. This project includes, but is not limited to, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, roadway installation, and installation of traffic striping within the project limits in accordance with the Contract Documents for the City of Cochran: Mac Thompson Road - Roadway Resurfacing. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing to the Owner's Representative, Attention: James Jones via email at jjones@fdcllc.com, Glenn Athearn via email at gathearn@fdc-llc.com and also Brett Hanes via email at bhanes@fdc-llc.com. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Owner as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received after 5:00 PM local time on July 9, 2024 may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and formalities. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a bond issued by a surety acceptable to the City or a cashier's check made payable to the City of Cochran, Georgia. The entire Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Cochran, Georgia as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required in the Contract Documents.
