As of July 25, 2024, Newton Housing Authority has rejected the bids. Notice is hereby given that the Housing Authority of the Town of Newton of Sussex County is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB) in accordance with Local Public Contracts Law of the State of New Jersey, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., for the Electrical Upgrade and Heat Pumps at the Newton Housing Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. All Bidders must comply with the mandatory requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-3.1 et seq. (P.L. 1975, c. 127) and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding Affirmative Action responsibilities of contractors. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Ch. 150, P.L. 1963; the requirements of the New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act, N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), 29 CFR 1910, with regard to worker and job safety. Subject to the issuance of an Addendum providing to the contrary, the last time for all inquiries by Bidders concerning this Bid Solicitation is July 3, 2024, as may be extended by Addenda.
