The City of Waukesha intends to develop a placemaking plan for Williams Street, which is located in the southwest corner of downtown Waukesha. Williams Street is located between N Grand Avenue and Maple Avenue and is one of the most historic and unique commercial corridors in Waukesha. The City is seeking a consultant to assist the City staff with the creation of an actionable plan for streetscaping and branding, while highlighting the heritage of the street and the historical impact it had on the City of Waukesha. The process will include gathering input from local stakeholders, including business owners and property owners. o Provide a placemaking design and criteria for Williams Street to include streetscaping, lighting options, district branding, banners/signage, and concepts for future street redesign o Provide estimated cost per element shown in final design o Provide a final report that summarizes the project and final product o Attend and participate in one public meeting with stakeholders and a limited number of meetings with key City staff.
