The Work of this Project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made by the Park District, which is the same as that determined by the Illinois Department of Labor for public works projects in Cook County. The Contract entered into for the Work will be drawn in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide for payment of all laborers, workmen, and mechanics needed to perform the Work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages (including the prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work in and as applicable) for each craft, type of worker, or mechanic. Notice is hereby given to potential Biddersthat the Worth Park District willbe receivingsealed bids for 2025 Homerding Park OSLAD Improvements Bid Package 1B-Asphalt Paving Construction. The work consists of asphalt paving foralooped 8' wide asphalt walking path at Homerding Park. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or bank cashier's check payable to the Worth Park District for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond or check If a bid is accepted, a performance and payment bond, payable to the Worth Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction, such bondshall include the provision guaranteeing the faithful performance of the Prevailing Wage Act. Payments shall be made for ninety (90%) percent of the bid price upon completion of work or portion thereof. The balance of ten (10%) percent shall be paid after receipt of final waivers of lien for all materials used and within sixty (60) days of work completion. COMPLETION OF CONTRACT WORK All work contained in these documents shall begin after Wednesday, May 18, 2025 and be substantially completed no later than June 11, 2025.
