This Request for Supplier Qualifications is an invitation by the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board to prospective respondents to qualify for eligibility to provide General Contracting Services for a New School Build. The Ministry of Education has approved funding to the Board to support the construction of a Kindergarten to Grade 8 Elementary School to include a Childcare Centre in the Northglen Neighbourhood of Bowmanville, Ontario (the project). The purpose of this RFSQ is to gather information on respondent's capabilities and qualifications in relation to the work required for the project which includes but is not limited to: - The complete construction of the school - Retaining and managing all subcontractors and suppliers - Providing all labour, tools, equipment and materials necessary for the project The project will be constructed on a green field site with a total building area of approximately 53,000 square feet. The property is located east of Highway 418 and north of Highway 2 on the North East corner of Middle Road and Northglen Boulevard in an established subdivision with more homes to be built nearby. The two-story building will accommodate space for 493 pupil placements to include 4 kindergarten rooms, 16 regular classrooms, 1 special education room, 1 resource room along with common areas such as a gymnasium and learning commons. The design also includes a licensed Three-Room Childcare space for 49 pupils.
