Demolition, remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

Design-Build project to remove the exiting 750KVA Multi-tap Secondary Unit Substation T-54 and associated 15kv interrupter switches, medium voltage and low voltage transformers located between NRL Buildings 54 and 35. Replace substation and associated equipment with a new 750KVA, 13.8KV/480 Secondary Unit Substation and associated 15kv interrupter switches, with dry type medium and low voltage transformers capable of producing 230V and 208V. Cap the existing underground conduits in the duct bank and abandon the existing concrete support pad. The new switchboards shall contain 20% fully bussed space for future breakers. Remove the existing switch gear in the electrical room and replace it with a new one of the same kind. Remove the existing light fixture in the electrical room and replace it with an energy efficient light fixture. Remove and dispose ~400 SF of floor vinyl tiles and lead-based paint on the interior walls from the Electrical room. Remove and replace the existing entry door. Remove and replace (2) wall mounted unit heaters on walls of the Electrical Room and install (2) new ceiling mounted electric unit heaters. Remove and replace an exhaust fan behind the Switchgear and associated louver, thermostat and switch. estimated price range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
