To submit statements of qualification ("SOQ") to provide professional services to develop designs, plans, and specifications for improvements to the boat ramp and associated area at Pilot Knoll Park. Anticipated Services: This project requires a consultant team with expertise in the design and construction of similar facilities, and with ability to complete the project within the budget and agreed upon time frame. The following are examples of consultant services, which will be required: The selected firm will be responsible for preparing the project manual and contractor solicitation documents using the "City's" template. The selected firm will be responsible for the Project's technical aspects and for performing public outreach in the form of one meeting. Such meeting will include presentation of preliminary concept plans of the Project to the community, discussing park amenities and location, and creating and modifying design concepts based on public meeting input and board and commission feedback. This commitment to community engagement is a crucial part of the Project. The selected firm will use its expertise in park planning to develop final conceptual layouts, cost estimates, schedules, construction, and solicitation documents for construction of the Project. The selected firm will provide a final document that will be "shovel ready" and submitted to the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife Local Grant Program or similar grant programs to make the Project available for future grant funding. The selected firm will furnish all required labor, materials, supplies, and travel required in connection with the firm's services in relation to the Project. The City expects the selected firm's staff to include individuals with expertise in the fields of park and recreation planning, lake recreation activity for motorized and non-motorized watercraft, and geographical information systems.
