The City of Bryan Facilities Department is soliciting proposal submissions to replace the metal roof of the Carnegie Library, located at 111 S. Main Street, Bryan, Texas 77803. The City has established a target commencement date for construction activities as July 2024. The projected completion date is estimated to be two (2) months from Notice to Proceed. The City reserves the right to modify the commencement date, subject to Owner and Contractor availability, phase the construction of the Project, or modify the schedule as needed and determined by the City due to modifications in scope. When the contract amount is $50,000 or more, a payment bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon payment to all persons supplying labor and materials, shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall accompany the signed contract. When the contract amount is $100,000 or more, a performance and a payment bond in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon faithful performance of the contract in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents and payment to all persons supplying labor and materials, shall be executed by the successful bidder and shall accompany the signed contract. The City of Bryan reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities and technicalities, to accept the offer considered most advantageous in order to obtain the best value for the City.
