University is seeking a qualified vendor to complete demolition of the existing 180,000 square foot Texas Pavilion Building downtown. This project will consist of the complete demolition of the existing 180,000 square foot Texas State Exhibits Pavilion, located at 801 E. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd, upon the University's Notice to Proceed. The facility will be cleared by the University of any loose furniture, fixtures, equipment and exhibits, and rendered permanently unoccupied prior to demolition operations. Qualified suppliers in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Request for Proposal ("RFP") for the goods and/or services more specifically described in the scope of services contained in Section 5 of the RFP. Under authority of this University has determined that the following request should be treated as a Formal Request for Proposal. Should University accept an offer in response to this Request for Proposal ("RFP") and award the services herein to a selected proposer, such proposer will be required to enter into a negotiated agreement ("Agreement"). The University may alternatively elect to enter into and agreement in the form of a University Purchase Order, the terms of which are located at online. Proposer understands and acknowledges that any response that is subject to proposers's specific qualifications or terms may be disqualified from consideration in University's sole discretion. For purposes of this RFP, the selected proposer will sometimes be referred to as "Contractor" or "Vendor". Included are to be necessary abatement activities prior to general demolition which assume the presence of asbestos in (but not limited to) perimeter wall insulation, mastics, interior framed drywall system joint compounds, floor tiles, and roof layers. Interior demolition will include ceilings, built-ins, casework and MEP systems and equipment. The structure will be demolished down to grade to include building slab and footings, with existing drilled piers cut down 3' below grade and left in place. Site concrete demolition will include walkways, pedestrian bridge, overhangs, water features, on-grade stairs seating and canopy area.
