The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials, and perform all operations in connection with the inspection and testing of the entire fire alarm system as indicated and as specified. This testing shall include fire extinguishers, emergency egress lights, and illuminated exit signs Scope The work covered under this specification is the inspection, testing, and maintenance of the entire fire alarm system, including the firefighters telephones, fire extinguishers, exit signs, and emergency lights. Systems are to be inspected, tested and maintained in safe and reliable operating condition and in full conformity with all laws and regulations applicable to the system and as described in this specification. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to provide prompt written notice of any repairs, adjustments or replacements whose costs are not covered by this contract, so that the City may take such steps as it deems prudent in a timely manner in reliance on the information provided by the contractor to authorize the Contractor or another contractor to make such adjustments, repairs or replacements on a temporary or emergency basis; solicit bids competitive bids or proposals for the work; arrange for details if needed; and/or take other precautions.
